The Universal Audio Apollo x16D Ultimate is an advanced 16×16 Thunderbolt audio interface designed for live music as well as studio recording, so expect elite-class Apollo X audio conversion and HEXA core DSP processing for real-time mixing and recording supported by over 200 UAD plug-ins, including emulations of legendary gear from renowned names like Neve, SSL, Auto-Tune, Teletronix, and Pultec.
You’re also free to link up a maximum of four Apollo X16Ds and build a 64-channel Dante system with network redundancy, or you can integrate the interface into an existing Thunderbolt Apollo-based set-up and expand your set-up via Dante. It’s this scalability that makes the Apollo x16D Ultimate ideal for studios that eventually want to grow into a multi-room studio without having to start from scratch. It can also serve as an all-in-one monitoring hub for mixing up to 9.1.6 audio, meaning you can use this incredibly flexible interface to work with Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, Sony 360 Reality Audio and other formats.
